Community Service

Rotary International does humanitarian service worldwide to alleviate poverty, sickness, injustice and, in general, works to make the world a better place.  The Community Service Committee of our club does the same thing for the Estes Valley.

COMMUNITY SERVICE:  Chuck Coffey, Director

*COMMUNITY PROJECTS - Develop and implement projects which are beneficial to the residents and community of Estes Park.

*DUCK RACE - Plan and coordinate the various programs associated with the Duck Race to help raise money for organizations in the Estes Park Valley.

ENVIRONMENT - Develop projects that will examine and help change conditions in the environment that may be a threat to the citizens of our community.  Participate in highway and river clean up.

FARMERS’ MARKET – Organize the parking lot workers for the summer Farmers’ Market at the fairgrounds.

IMMUNIZATION - Plan, coordinate and organize participation with the Sunrise Rotary Club, the April immunization program.

PUMPKIN DISTRIBUTION - Coordinate and organize participation in the distribution of over 700 pumpkins to the elementary school children.

SALVATION ARMY - Coordinate the club's participation in the Salvation Army's holiday season bell ringing/kettle program.

* Major Committees—Every Rotarian should be on one of the club’s major committees and at least one other committee.
